Eric M Scheufler Dmd Md
Dr Scheufler grew up the youngest of seven children in a small farming community in Northern Ohio. He graduated with academic and athletic honors from Margaretta High School in Castalia, Ohio. He earned his degree in Biological Science from Furman University in 1991, before completing his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree as Valedictorian at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1995. Dr Scheufler then entered the Louisiana State University Medical School where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1998. He went on to complete his internship in General Surgery and Residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Louisiana State University Charity Hospital.
Dr Scheufler is board certified in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and is an active member of numerous professional societies including the American Medical Association, the American Dental Association, and the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He maintains Dental licenses in Florida, South Carolina, and Alabama and his Medical License in Louisiana. Dr Scheufler has lectured nationally and internationally on topics ranging from facial reconstruction and complex grafting procedures, to cosmetic procedures associated with dental implants.
Dr. Scheufler's clinical interests include: facial reconstruction, trauma and cosmetic procedures, as well as reconstructive implant procedures associated with trauma, tumors or cancer.
